Meredith Kelly, APRN
I knew growing up that I wanted to have a career in the medical field one day. It wasn’t until after my mother was diagnosed and treated for breast cancer that she told me how amazing the nursing staff was that helped her through this difficult time. I was too young at the time to know the importance of great, compassionate nursing care. She took me to Georgia Southern University for a college visit and this started my journey to becoming not only a registered nurse but also a nurse practitioner.
I attended undergraduate at Georgia Southern University where I earned my BSN. It was during my clinical rotations that I found my passion as a nurse in the Intensive Care Unit. After graduation I began my nursing career in a Neurosurgical/ Trauma ICU in Macon, Georgia. My passion for not only my job but also traveling, started my career as a travel nurse. I was fortunate to work in hospitals from Los Angeles to New York City in various ICU settings for 7 years.
